A FASHION designer and Guinness World Record holder has been turning heads after he showed off the tallest mohawk in the world today.
Kazuhiro Watanabe, 40, from Tokyo proudly strutted around New York with his 3-foot-8.6-inch hair style today after gaining the title.
He said he has been growing the hair for the last 15 years.
In order to make it stand upright it takes stylists two hours, one can of gel and three cans of hairspray.
He wanted to grow the mohawk to rebel against the conformity of Japanese society.
Watanabe has held the title since January 2011.
His appearance in Washington Square Park was to promote the newest version of the Guinness World Records book, which for the first time includes him.
